| The Sentinel is the quarterly publication of the FPD. The most current issue may be read in two ways. First, you may view it in "pdf" format, which will allow you to page through it, just as if you had received it in the mail. Second, you may hyperlink from the individual articles by reviewing the summary of the issue. They are replete with topical information for all physicians, and special issues are published for publicly-employed physicians and for PATCO members. Prior issues are also, selectively, reprinted on this Web-Site. Starting with the March, 2000 issue, the complete text of all updates
are
provided at this site; articles in prior issues have been scattered among the
other pages on this Web-Site, classified by the key topic discussed. These
articles may also be reached by hyperlinking from the page related to the key
topic thereof.
UNION CORRESPONDENCE The correspondence that appears in the Sentinel reflects issues that physicians from around the country have in regard to their professional activities. Private physicians report dealings with such issues as third party negotiations, legislation and representation. Public physicians address more traditional labor-management relationships, particularly as they reflect "job preservation" concerns. We encourage physicians to be proactive. Correspondence that could be included in the newsletter--and any cause that come to your attention or article that you feel should be disseminated--may be sent to the Tallahassee office (via fax, email or snail mail). If you would like to write an article about your activities, please do so, for you will no doubt find that what affects you also affects others nationwide. |
